Aide For Paws is a foster based rescue that works primarily with special needs and senior animals. Fostering is a very important part of our program and without the love and dedication of our foster families we would not be able to help as many animals as we do.  By opening your heart and home you are saving a pets life!

Why Foster?

Picture
Fostering is one of the most rewarding things you can do!

Some of the benefits of fostering include:

  • Fostering saves lives!
  • Keeps animals out of shelters
  • Increases the chances of an animal being adopted
  • You'll help learn more about the animal's personality so they can be placed the best home possible
  • You get to show and teach your foster dog what a dog’s life should be
  • You will have the joy of watching an animal play, grow and flourish in your care
  • If you are considering adopting you can see what the full-time commitment is like by fostering an animal        in your home without a lifetime commitment
  • You will teach your children responsibility, compassion and care for an animal
  • Companionship
  • You can be directly involved in saving a dog or cat’s life!!

What is Involved?

Foster homes provide a safe, loving environment until a suitable adoptive home is found and also assists in providing basic training, house-training, and transportation to vet appointments, etc..  Foster families do everything a responsible pet owner would do including:

  • Providing regular meals & exercise
  • Visits to the vet (if required)
  • Basic Training (if required)
  • Providing us with photos of your foster for our website/Facebook page
  • Meet & greets with potential adopters
